A wonderful place for walking and an ideal destination for children, with safe play areas, beautiful nature trails and lakeside walk to interest and educate. Dogs are welcomed. A wealth of enjoyment with lots to see and do, including a programme of special events throughout the season. Wellington Country Park has all the ingredients for a fantastic day out, with barbeque and picnic areas, nature trails, play areas, crazy golf, miniature railway, sandpit, caf?, gift and toy shop. Only an hour from London and close to Reading and Basingstoke, Wellington Country Park is a perfect choice for the whole family. Featuring 350 acres of woodland, parkland and lakes, the Park is part of the estate of the Duke of Wellington, and is close to Stratfield Saye House, home of the Dukes of Wellington. The Park boasts a wealth of attractions and activity, with nature trails, picnic and barbeque areas, space for relaxation or games and plenty of activities for families and visitors of all ages, including the dog. Older children will enjoy the fantastic adventure playground and a round of crazy golf, while younger members of the family will love the miniature railway and the sand pit. Opening times are: 10th ? 25th February 10.00am to 4.30pm 15th ? 30th March 10.00am to 4.30pm 31st March ? 30th September 10.00am to 5.30pm 1st October ? 4th November 10.00am to 4.30pm Please note that last admissions are one hour before closing. Parking is free. Gates are locked half an hour after the Park closes.
