Knowsley Safari Park

The Safari Park opened in 1971 by the 18th Earl of Derby, and today is directed by the 19th Earl of Derby. We have around 30 species of mammal roaming 200 hectares of land, plus a few birds, reptiles and invertebrates. The welfare of our animals is of top priority, and we believe that the extra space available in the safari park enables our animals to live as natural a life as possible in the park.

Today, Knowsley Safari Park is one of Merseyside's premier leisure attractions, and has won several awards for tourism and its animal husbandry.

Knowsley Safari Park is open all year round (except Christmas Day).
If the weather is very icy or snowy we are closed for safety reasons.
